TERMS & CONDITIONS

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

(Singing lessons and Singing Lesson Packages)

1. The start and duration of the contract

The contract is concluded between the service provider, i.e. the singing teacher Heta Nykänen, and the client, i.e. the student. The contract is concluded when the customer has booked a lesson either via the booking page, by e-mail, by telephone or in person. When booking a singing lesson, the customer has read and accepted the terms of the contract. If the student is a minor, the contract is drawn up with his/her guardian, who is responsible for compliance with the terms of the contract. This contract is valid from 1.8.2024.

2. Service

A singing lesson is 40 or 55 minutes long, depending on the lesson or the package chosen by the student. All singing lessons are referred to in this contract as "lessons". In singing lessons, the student will receive individual guidance in singing and the content of the lessons will be planned together with the student.

Duo-singing lessons are singing lessons of 40 or 55 minutes in length, where two students receive simultaneous instruction. The content of the lessons is planned according to the students' wishes and they can sing both together and alone.

3. Lesson packages and periods of validity

Lesson packages can be purchased in batches of five and ten (or more) lessons. 10-lesson packages are valid for 8 months, 5-lesson packages for 4 months from the date of purchase. The duration of a lesson is 40 or 55 minutes. Lessons can also be purchased separately. Cancellation policy applies to booked lessons (see chapter 5).

The validity period of a package of lessons starts from the date of purchase. All lessons must be used within the time limit. The service provider does not remind the customer of unused lessons, but the customer is responsible for booking the lessons within the time limits. No money will be refunded for unused lessons. However, the validity period may be extended in cases of illness or force majeure.

4. Payment

Lessons can be paid for by invoice, Smartum, Edenred and ePassi.

Payments for packages of 10 or more lessons can be divided into 2 to 4 instalments. If the customer chooses to pay by instalments, they commit to purchase and use the package in full.

Gift vouchers must be presented at the time of booking the lesson. The first lesson of the gift card must be used within the validity period indicated on the card, after which the lessons are subject to the validity period of the package of hours indicated on the gift card.

5. Cancellation policy

A booked lesson can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge 24 hours before the booked lesson. After this period, the cancelled lesson will be considered as held and 100% of the price will be charged, regardless of the reason for the absence. The lesson will therefore not be rescheduled or refunded, but the student will lose the lesson. However, it is possible to pass on the lesson to a friend or relative, for example.

If a client fails to attend a lesson without prior notice, the lesson will be deemed to have been kept and 100% of the lesson price will be charged. The client is responsible for rescheduling a cancelled lesson.  In the event of cancellation, the client books a new appointment directly with the teacher or through the online calendar.

No refunds will be given for cancelled or unused lessons, and the lessons purchased must be used before the expiry date. However, the validity of purchased lessons may be extended in the case of long sick leave. In this case, the student must present a certificate of sick leave to the provider. If the student wishes, they can donate or sell the unused lessons.

6. Cancellations by the Teacher

Absences due to the teacher (sickness/holiday) will always be made up by rescheduling them. In the case of longer periods of sick leave, the teacher may, if necessary, find a qualified substitute to take his/her place to give the lessons during the period.

7. Amendment of the contract

The provider reserves the right to amend the terms of the contract. The terms of the contract will be reviewed regularly, and the new terms will replace this contract in all respects. The customer will be informed immediately of any changes to the terms of the contract.

8. Termination of the contract

The contract is valid for a fixed term according to the package of lessons chosen by the customer and expires when the lessons purchased have been used up or the validity period has expired. For individual singing lessons, the contract is valid until the lesson has been held.

9. Legal notice

Disputes arising from this contract shall be settled by the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta).
