Who are the group lessons for?

The group lessons are for beginners or those with some experience in singing, who want to learn and practice singing in a supportive group setting!

In the lessons, we'll do breathing and vocal exercises to deepen the connection with your instrument and gain tools to make vocal production easier and expand your expression. We will explore techniques for singing at different heights, as well as for developing vocal endurance and projection.

These lessons are perfect for anyone who, besides singing and making music, is also interested in understanding what happens physiologically in the body when producing different sounds. The focus, however, is on a relaxed and effortless approach to vocal production, which we reinforce through exploration and experimentation—by singing a lot!

Participants can suggest songs to practice during the lessons, and you can share your favorite songs already when registering! The group sings together during lessons, but each student will also receive backing tracks for the songs to practice at home.

We sing in 1 or 2 part harmonies. You don't need any prior experience with singing in multiple voice parts!

The teaching language is English.

The course can be paid for with cultural benefit programs (ePassi, Smartum, Edenred). If using one of these, please contact us via email to arrange the payment method.

You're warmly welcome to join the group!

Learning singing in a group

is motivating, as singing together strengthens the sense of community, and learning takes place in a relaxed atmosphere. In a group, singers encourage one another and set an example with their own approaches, which can inspire others to try something new and even challenging!

In a group singing class, we sing and practice together and the focus is not just on one singer at a time. Often working together helps reduce any nervousness associated with singing, allowing many to sing more confidently and, at the same time, to improve more quickly.

A Group enables diverse singing excercises,

that can’t quite be achieved in the same way in individual lessons. Singing in harmonies, rhythm, as well as blending with others are all skills we can sharpen in a group setting. Excercises for expression are often easier for many to perform as part of a group than alone, as courage to experiment and take risks is supported by the group!

In addition, the essential scill for making music - listening - is developed in a group, as singing together enhances precision in understanding rhythm and melody.

If the group members wish, performance skills can also be practiced together in the group.

Practicing singing in a group broadens your undestanding of singing,

as you witness others’ learning processes and hear a variety of wonderful, unique voices and singing styles. Additionally, someone else may ask a question that you, too, have been wondering about but haven’t yet been able to put into words.
